Please help with mk6 buyers guide

Going to pick up a new van tomorrow
It's a 2.5 mwb med roof, 90-350
90000 miles

Could anybody tell me what I should be checking for when I'm looking over it ?

Is there any common faults I should look for?

Corrosion; check underneath, the sills and arches

See the engine start from cold; check for initial timing chain rattle, and smoke from exhaust

Go for a good long drive and try and include a steep hill Engine should always pull well with no undue noises

There shouldn't be any flashing lights on the dashboard while driving with the exception of indicator tell tail

Ha Ha me too, from what i have seen the only buyers guide check you really need to do is for really bad rust as they will ALL have it to some degree .....my god ive seen some bad ones that have scared the sh1t out of me for 3k from dealers

You need to get one that you can control it with oils and waxes and not one thats gone past that and requires welding already.
keep your beady eyes open all around the back end everywhere
