Ex AA Transit info

Hi all i just Join up. Name Jon and i from Slough.

Away on work at the mo but when back in June i lookin to buy a x AA transit.

Just wondering if anyone has any info things i should look out for on one.

Known prob's that sort of thing.

there a 07reg with less then 60000 miles on the clock i looking at getting.

Going to be using it for all sorts really don't want a big van but do need and like a van with single rear door.

any help info would be brill.

Ive got an ex RAC windscreen repair van, looked after inside the cab despite 2 other owners after the RAC. The only thing that would put me off buying an RAC or AA van is they have probably done loads of towing, thats why i went for mine because its probably mainly done window repairs. Mines also a semi high roof and after owning this, i dont think i'd go back to a low roof, makes it so much easier to work out of.

ya i was lookin at a auto screen orange one but i don't really want a bigger then a SWB due to it might be parked up a lot.

plus mine will be doing some towing also so clutch goes clutch goes really.

worked in recovery and RAC guy told me RAC wont tow a vec over 1.5tons on the dolly but AA guy told me they dont really have a rule it just down the driver on site.

altho 1.5ton's not a lot got a flatbed trailer with a mondeo on it over 2ton.

altho i did like the side tent be ideal for track days but only be used 3 4 times a year.

going be mainly used to take my bikes to track events odd jobs and car boots. Van just comes in handy.

Yeah i wouldnt mind a good awning like that, dont need it but its pretty cool. Mine is only a short wheel base, love the semi top though, not too big but big enough to stand in.

Am considering one myself for the exact same uses as yourself
Appreciate any advice before I part with the cash (I'm Scottish so it takes a bit of doing)

No i never got one in the end,
Just got a x cancel SWB m/roof transit 58 reg with 35000 on the clock,
as the extra head room in the back is just right for me i can stand up.
also more use on picking up motorcycles,

altho keeping a eye out for a ex AA van with front end damage or a swb m/roof to turn into a trailer project for camping in etc and extra loads.
