Best buy?

Postby Redt4 » Wed Jan 03, 2018 2:28 pm

My current van has just been broadsided by another van so looking like beyond economical repair...Looking at lab high top transits at mo and expecting a 2k/2.5k ish layout, would I be better buying an 07ish with 160k on it or a 11plate with 198k on it?..swaying towards the newer one as gotta be motorway miles surely so easy miles although high.....

Drivetrain condition is everything , irrespective of mileage, so check running carefully, quiet & powerful with no uneven idle, smoke, gearbox or axle wining etc. & look to see how old the air & fuel filters are, rust spots occur on fuel filters over about 20k miles. Old filters kill injectors so walk away if you see rust in one.
