right then, I've had the idea of buying a transit on and off for a few years now, nearly had one a year ago but brought a car  so now I'm cheesed off (especially when I look at some of the vans on here) with the whole car thing. So once all my bike 's/parts go on evil bay this week I will hopefully have some cash to buy one 8)
It will poss be a mk4 or 5 as that'll be about my cash limit,(also been stung by the dmf on a mondeo  so mk6/7 would be out anyway) I want to go the petrol-lpg route as running lpg should work out similar (penny for penny) and be a little quieter.
what would be best to buy? 2ltr petrol and change to bigger unit (as I do like the idea of a V6) or diesel and swap to petrol motor??????

If you want a V6, we are developing an adapter kit for the Mk5 to fit the Essex V6.
The kit is using the 2.5di gearbox, so if you buy a diesel you will be half way there 8)
Keep an eye on the Pinto into Mk5 = LEZ compliance thread as all our engine conversions will be in there.
Still a few weeks off but it will be worth the wait 8)

mk5 non turbo, a run veg oil, after diesel shooting up to 145 etc i though id try some veg oil {BEEN KICKING MY SELF SINCE} van runs mint on it and im only paying 99p a litre for it and thats brand new stuff.
Also id be leaving say £350 in the kitty for a mig welder-grinder etc because YOU will need it!, but that bit you'll find satisfying :)

I was thinking more the 2.8/2.9 for the injection, but 3.0l sounds nice
