Hi guys,

Excellent forum!.

I have been a big transporter fan for years now but am finding it just to small for me which is very frustrating, last week my local vw dealer wanted 30k plus vat for a mob crafter which is just way out of my price range so after giving it some thought I think I have decided on a new transit.

I have 2 questions I would like to ask.

1: I have always associated Transits with rust problems, how bad are the new ones for rust and how many years will it last rust free under usual use, kept in good condition etc.

2: I want a mob with medium roof, 140ps pref in Limited trim, how much would a good price for this be and where is the cheapest place to buy?.

Thanks for looking and I hope I get some answers.

Rich ... Plymouth.

If you waxoyl the underside box sections while it's new and don't bash it around, there won't be any rust problems :!:
There's quite a few galvanised panels on these vans :)
Certainly no rusty rear doors since 2000 :!: :D

As for price, best shop around
