Hey guys,, my mate is putting up for sale his 94 pickup flatbed , its got mot till feb 2013 but no tax ,, these are all the details i heve at the minute but do know its in fair clean nick for the yaer ,, what price range could he expect to get for it ?

anywhere from 27p - £1400 ready to go

Obviously £1400 if its clean & looked after. I don't think many people worry too much about mileage at that age!

As much as that :shock: it is in quite good nick ,, ill tell him to put 12 months ticket on it before he trys to flog it ,,, he was thinking around £900 ,, ill get some pics on and more details later on,, If it was a tipper i would have had it .

So price goes down a little bit £1200 tops (but thats for something thats really really clean with good history) Most would be lucky to get £1000

My old crew-cab was Slate grey inside and Diamond white outside :shock:

Always thought that was a strange combination!

Please bare in mind im an idiot..but can someone explain in simple terms why its worth so much compared to say a Normal panel van same age etc.?

Its less desireable...

Most people want a secure vehicle.

Besides which you are doing well to get 12-1400 for any mk3/4/5 transit (but I think they are going to start appreciating soon)

Pick up's and tippers are always worth more, a vehicle if that age now will prob be bought by a local scrap man, ideal for there trade,

Its too goood for that :D my mate owned it for about 8 years ,, for fencing .

Yeah appreciate for them its worth it...possibly a builder.

Always thought they were worth less as not overly pratical... :?
