How do you tell bhp on a mk6?

In the process of buying a mk6/7 van. On the mk7 the the bhp is on the badge on the rear door. I don't think engine output is listed in this way on mk6 so how do you know what output the engine is. I'm going to look at a mk6 which is listed as 135bhp where will this be written?

Sometimes on the door. If not and you have the reg or vin you can use etis.

On the front doors
135 would be a TDCI 2.4 rear wheel drive.
Check it has a common rail engine in it and that it runs really quietly

Enter the reg into ETIS to see how it left the factory, including what diff. ratio was fitted (or give us the reg)

Thanks for your replies. Was a little unsure what you mean by ETIS however I have looked it up and its very useful! The only thing is you have now upset the apple cart by mentioning rear diff ratios!! What were available and what does this mean? I realise that some will cruise at a lower rpm for a given speed. To be honest when buying second hand there are more important things to consider than this, but the more info I have the better.

Best test is to actually go and drive it around for at least half an hour, including a motorway to see if it's right for you
