Newbie in need of advice

Postby Lenny H » Tue Oct 08, 2013 12:17 pm

Hi all,

I am new to the world of vans and I'm about to embark on a new adventure of self employment and van ownership.

I have pretty much decided the route to travel is with a ford transit. The problem is I have no idea what's expensive and what isn't. I'm looking for a SWB low roof (parking considerations) and I would like your opinion on what sort of year, mileage and model vehicle I could get for around 3k. Any advice and help greatly appreciated.

I would look to buy off a forum member here, try the transit vans for sale/wanted section.

Thanks for the info. Do you think 3k is enough to get me MK7 or am I being too optimistic?
