new to transit vans but looking at mk6 or mk7 vans what's to look for when buying ?

Any help would be great

Rust EVERYWHERE. The mk6 is getting in a bit now but there are still a few good ones left. Mine is a 2003 with 104k and has very little rust on. Mk6 tdci'is are notably fussy with the fuel systems needing proper servicing with proper ford parts. The tddi'is are the best shot, 100 ps versions pull well and are economical too. It all depends really what you want the van for. I don't really do a lot in mine, i play in a band and I like driving transits so it's my hobby too.

Light use to be honest. Used as a daily drive to work van and maybe some rowing from time to time that's about it.
