I have been offered a X Reg Transit, im not to sure what model but its a MWB, high top 2.4 TD......
It has 12 months mot, just had front brakes done, new starter. The clutch hasnt been done but seems fine, he tells me its a chain run timing belt, is this true?
Only thing is i can hear a droning noise, like a bearing noise that i think is coming from the gearbox area? The gears sound fine and it does it when in motion wether in or out of gear!

similar problem with mine at the moment, only with my transit there is a whinning noise when in gear though not when i am moving and press the clutch.....
