land rover 200 or 300 tdi would be a good engine in a transit..turbo intercooled, plenty of grunt - quick off the mark and run on bio with no modifications..plus dirt cheap to rebuild..plus bigger intercooler bit of pump tweeking, and make boy racers look silly!!

defo but what would you have if you were offerd one for free a this mk1 or a mk6 with a 300tdi? :)

hmmmm...Mk6...not a fan of the duratorq...... LOL
ideally a mk5 with a 200/300 tdi would be the best compromise....or a mk6 - would get rid of the horrid duratorq!!!!
