1980/Mk2 - as brand new

Postby wojciech » Wed Apr 08, 2015 9:12 am

My colleague Tomek from Polish Ford Forum has beautifuj, excellent Mk2.
It is Transit TFS-Mk2, manufactured 29.01.1980. From 1980 to 2006 van worked in Germany as fire engine.
Between 2006 - 2013 in Poland in small town Krzyżowa Dolina in voluntary fire station.

In February 2013 Tomek bought van for 5000 PLN (1000 GBP) :!: with mileage 18000 km (12250 miles) :!:

Now, after 2 years of hard work, van is looking as brand new. All parts are original, genuine from Ford.
Engine Pinto, 76 HP. Unladen mass 1800kg, permissible max. weight 3200kg.
Now Tomek is looking for faster rear axle, existing is to slow (5,83). Alternatively 5 speed gear-box...

Yes - I think. Look for wooden floor - it shows signs of using...

But it must be a very reputable member of Tomek family...

I know that looks like a big shed, but it would be hard to clock up a bit over 12,000 miles indoors :D
