So it has started, I've got hold of some nos rear light lenses, I also have plans to install a split charge system and possibly 240v hook-up :)

Hi, miniTrans,
I own EXACTLY the same camper! (Apart for some details of course)It even has the same flooring and the little cabinets in the back doors.
Mine is a '79, has a 3speed automatic ( am looking for a 4speed same) and has the split electrical system with 2 batteries. It also has a 240V hookup.(strange to be lacking on yours, i find) Some 18 years ago when I was using it, I took out most of the interior because I also used it for hauling stuff, and also because I prefer loose, movable modules when camping. It also gives a more spacious feeling (less cramped). Now I sort of regret it a bit, because the original 'integrity' is gone.
Mine is LHD - I live in Belgium.
I was wondering where it was built (I mean the camper part) because most transits in Belgium were built in Cologne and it would seem strange to ship it to England to do the camper interior and then ship it back to the continent.
CI seems to be have been a British company until it went bust, whence it was bought by an Italian camperbuilder. Now you find CI campers all over the world, but I don't know if it is all the same company like a multinational or so.
I'm currently taking it back in use after 15 years of storage! (A bit more work than expected)
Anyway I found it funny that there's a 'doppelganger' that also survived 35 years... I wish you fruitfull travels in it!
