Hi my Welsh friend send me these 2 photos whilst he was at a show. The pictures speak for them selves. Is this the oldest Transit in England???

maybe he wants to keep it as original as possible? i suppose filling it wont make an age difference but some people are like that eh.

The letter was 1985 and I doubt that picture was taken much after that. I'm sure there were old vans around then that then, I think there are still a few now.

so? we have a local show here, and 90% of the old commercials turn up on trailers, some even turn up on ancient tractors and flat beds. like the one next to that transit.

the oldest transit is apparently in the ford heritige collection in dunton, essex, its a 65 model making it a 'C' registration. its also special in that it has twin front sliding doors. cant find any more info other than they loan the vehicles out to museums, so it must be a private collection, not open to the public.
