Hi all I have had a head gasket done on my 03 2.3 petrol Transit and now the check engine light is on, I live a ways from any ford dealer and the mechanic that did the job does not have the equipment required to turn it off. Is there anyway of doing this manually or will I have to make the drive to a Ford dealer?

disconnect battery it normally works but it may come back as their might be a fault with the van 
also what van do you have,is it not the service light on

No definately little orange picture of an engine, I have noticed the oil pressure light doesn't work and is not connected at the block would that do it?
