I have to get a new or repaired Diesel fuel pump Lucas Epic (DSA1096 common number) for 1996 transit Auto vin SFALXXBDVLTL85560 ..
Is it possible for me to repair the electronics on it ?

Can a mod move this to mk3/4/5 section? Seems more appropriate there.
Some parts can be changed DIY but it does depend on what the fault is. Have you had the codes read?

Hello Yes, the ford agent here in Christchurch recommends a new unit complete as he says spares are hard to get. The fault codes were about 12. So 1st prize is a new / repaired unit.

I bet there is only 1 fault and thr majority are historic.
Unless you know what the problems are you can't fix them... and it might not be the pump

what's the difference between auto epic and manual epic? if it has a part to control the gear changes can this not be swapped over?

Only difference is ecu, and pedal has an extra little spring in to give the detent for kickdown. Pumps are the same
