which LPG filter?

Postby serenmor » Mon May 22, 2017 12:16 pm

Hi, My Mk 6 Transit ( 2004, 2.3 DOHC engine) needs a new LPG filter. The driver's manual specifies a Motorcraft EPG 331, but I can't find this on the web, so I am assuming they are not made anymore.

I did, however, find a filter that at least looks similar to the one already fitted, and it is only five quid, so I am wondering if it is OK to use any old filter, or should I try to find a special type?

Also, are there any problems in fitting a new filter? Can I just remove and replace, or do I risk LPG spurting out of the feed pipe when I uncouple the old one?
Thanks in advance for any info.

Contact ford for correct item or just the correct part number , even with diesel transits you get problems if you dont fit actual ford items

Hi Serenmor , most of the gas parts for the transits were unavailable even when the vans were new . Just buy an inline filter it will still do the job .

Inline filter for LPG though not a petrol one.
The filters don't really give much trouble though
