2002 ford focus zetec

Hi , i would like to ask a question from the more technical people here.
Would a 2002 year Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec petrol engine and gearbox fit into a transit connect year 2003 or 2004?
Would the mounting points be vastly different ? I fancy a van with the petrol engine for the bit of sport just to be different.
Any information woulld be appreciated and dont be afraid to tell me if im insane and would need psychiatric evaluation!

Different part numbers, the connect has a 1.8 engine available and you could probably get the looms and ecu etc to for minimal messing about.

It may be possible to fit another Ford zetec but you'll have to be creative if the mounts or components don't swap directly.

Personally if you are going to any length then I'd probably do it properly and fit a big lump in it

True, i suppose tis hardly worth the bother for a small engine.

Yes Focus mk1 1.6 engine will fit no problem. As will the Focus mk1 1.8 & 2.0 petrol engines. Imcluding Focus ST170 engine

Although wiring looms will require retrofiiting/modification to run these engines
