Snake oil lifter treatments are not your answer, do not waste your money.

transitnewbie26 wrote:the guy said it could be the knocking is from the oil still not lubricating the parts fully and should wait a week to see if the knocking/ticking stops or it could be cam bearings.

There are no separate cam bearings on these engines. If the cam housings are gone you need a new cylinder head.
You might have a failed cam follower if there has been a lose of lubrication to the top of the engine, I'd have expected a reputable specialist mechanic to have know this and checked.
mk7 08reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD
mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small

Dont waste your money on additives, it won't work , your mechanic guy obviously doesn't work on transits, the garage that repaired it should have stripped whole engine down if things got that bad that the oil pump seized or just replaced engine with a full running 2nd hand engine,
THERE AINT NO WAY AROUND THIS BUD THE GARAGE FOOKED IT AND STOLE YOUR MONEY
