Re: Tachograph removal

hi all,
I have an 04 transit, with a tachograph.
I don't use the tacho, have no need, but its had been there for a few years.
long story short, I had to replace the tacho, (as it got nicked) and the speedo doesn't work.

I have an eml and forscan, so I am wondering if I get the extended licence (only ever used it to sort out the egr valve, and other minor issues) can I reprogram the bcm to make the speedo work again?
thanks
Ilawnuk

Hi
I'm trying to remove the tacho on my van. Is a mk7. How did you manage to get it all working after removal of tacho. I've got no Speedo or mileage. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

You need to get someone with IDS or similar,to download the bcmii configuration file,
Find the 'With tacho' box and change it to without, reload that config to bcmii.
Mileage will then appear back in cluster etc.
