hi. new to this site. yesterday i had a small problem when the back box of my exhaust fell from its rubber, on reversing into a space it then was then low enought to catch the kerb. this pushed the exhaust system back and broke the neck from the first silencer. it also bent the downpipe. the exhaust fitted is years old and has been welded many times already and was long over due a new one.
today i have tried to get a new one only to come across a problem that they cannot find a downpipe for my transit.
my transit is an old 92 model on a j plate, 2.5 desil, none turbo long wheelbase P100. the supplyers say that all the downpipes listed have 3 bolts to fix to the manifold, where as my manifold and downpipe have only 2 bolts fixing them together.
would anyone know what downpipe i need to get.?
i will add that i have had this van for 9 years now and it has had the engine replaced twice. by myself and the same manifold has been kept with the vehicle each time. further to this. from the downpipe back the rest of the exhaust was made up from other exhaust systems but the downpipe has always remained the same.
any advice would be appriciated.
