I have a Eberspacher DL3C and I am now getting error 64
064 Open circuit - flame sensor Sensor is sensing value outside of range

I suspect I have some bad wiring going to the sensor as I can see electrical tape on a wire going into the case.

Has anyone undertaken a replacement or refurb of the flame sensor. http://www.espar.com/documents/D3LCc.pdf it looks quiet straight forward here.

The plastic rivots are .50p each and I was thinking of just replacing these with some self tapper screws. Anyone know of a good reason why this isnt fine?

sensor can be tested, remove it, cover it over so its in darkness, check resistance,

then check it again in bright light, should see a difference

I have now replaced the flame sensor ( err 64) and my heater now works fine again.

I got this working and have a full operational control reset device for those voltage moments
