2.5 t reg 120 transit,power loss

hi there,i have a transit 2.5 diesel 120,every so often i have to stop and bleed the fuel lines(crack the fuel nuts)and let diesel come out,wen i tighten them back up,van runs for another wee while and need to repeat,whats causing this,anyone help ?ty;-(

Air entering the system
Try changing the fuel filter for a new one and do the leak off mod, so that number one injector is the one that returns the fuel to the tank
