Or just show us a picture of it ;)

im guessing that as it needs a new timing soleniod its a mk6 transit and if its a di it doent matter if its a vp30 or vp44 the timing soleniod is the same part

thanks you for your replies. yes it is a mk6 2.0 2002. i'm not sure what output means but i will try to find out. i can't believe that i told staines diesels that it's the timing solenoid & they still tell me i need a new pump. they told me that you can't get the timing solenoid. but i have found one on ebay from transit parts for £100. so thats what i'm going to do. just got to make sure my pump is a bosh.

Staines Diesels used to be ok :?

But if they are trying to fob you off saying that you can't get a timing solenoid look elsewhere! Its a common fault and they should know better!

it doesnt matter what power output it is, if its a di then the timing solenoid is the same whether its a 75ps fwd or a 125 ps rwd, oh and as its fwd it may be easier to pull the whole front off as it will make it easier to get the soleniod out
