Dodgy Key Fob Mk7

Postby ChopperHuggett71 » Tue May 14, 2013 9:26 am

HI can anyone help, I have an intermittent problem with key fob. It doesn't seem to be holding charge when van is sitting overnight. But when I run it for half hour or so its fine.

I have been advised that an 09 van fob shouldn't have run down so quick and that I should be looking at the aux battery under seat.

So I trickle charged the front one and still nothing. Is there something Im missing or is it a case of just biting the bullet and getting a costly replacement fob from main dealer.

Thankyou

Charging the battery isnt going to do anything any different to running it on the van,if its knackered its knackered no matter how you charge it.

Id be testing the batteries properly before buying a fob.
