LEISURE BATTERY CHARGING

Hi ZIG CF9 now up and seems to be running ok My question is will the leisure battery charge when I am on 12 volt touring if I am not on a long run that is to say normal day to day driving Or will I disconnect battery Or can I leave battery connected with zig unit off need advice, new to this............Bruce
