No wouldnt matter putting thickess on its for piston protusion

Had the cylinder head checked and there was 1 bent valve so had a new one put in and them all reseated and ground in put the head back on timed it up and still getting 180 on all cylinders now I've been told that my injectors should have small copper washers on the end of each one but they haven't so I'm guessing there not sealing properly and causing low compression what do you think?

Still no joy with my van someone told me that the big ends could have got damaged when timing went could this be true and would this cause low compression I'm losing the will to live

The copper washer is probably stuck in the block, if you look down the injector hole you might see them

We realised they were still in the injector they weren't copper they were normal metal ones

75psT330lwb if the injectors were faulty would this cause low compression?

Have you any codes now ..have you checked cam carrier as this is what normaly fubars when timing is out. Bit strange all cylinders read the same.and are you sure timing was pinned right on flywheel when setting it up can be difficult to find right reluctor ring slot.whats fuel pressure like

No codes it's gone to garage now so will get them to check the cam carrier was cracked but replaced the whole cylinder head and cam carrier got timing wrong first time round had to redo it and used proper timing pins when I pinned the flywheel it was awkward to start with but then it dropped in ok my friend recons when I first knocked the timing out without realising all the time we were turning it over that I may have damaged the bottom end the big end bearings would this happen and cause the low compression on all cylinders? He seems to think the engines now totally knackered and will cost too much to repair

I wouldnt think rods are bent as its normaly carrier that goes could well be its damaged your new one or dragged bolt threads out so it doesnt tighten properley.when head was skimmed where valves seated flat with the head...as these heads dont have any leeway for head skimming..valve seat regrind..it may off needed head of valve shortning.as therse no adjustment with hydraulic lifters.also piston protrusion is very close to valves.hence the 3 thickness of head gasket let us no the outcome when its been to garage.my guess is they will want to stick another engine in
and injectors.(which havnt been checked properley yet).original problem was prob injectors and or pump.if this is the case they will still need doing.and if pump is breaking up and isnt sorted at same time as injectors will prob take any new recon recon injectors out.let us no how you get on hopefully not mega money for you

so gearbox will have to come off along with timing cover as timing will be out......not to mention the fact that the crank sensor bracket is not bolted in a fixed place!!! so make sure whichever bit is still attached is used as a marker as to where the new bracket needs to be set!!! very important otherwise fuel timing will be out!

Has engine sent off and the stripped it down the piston rings were totally knackered hence low compression had all new put in just got the fun bit of putting it all back together and see if it starts it better so this has cost me a bloody fortune getting to where we are now
