Inside the power pack red is power to your switch then one for the
Up button and third wire for the down button (don't forget to link
The feeds to the switch

the wiring for the switch runs into the housing where the pump and other wires are the up & down buttons are. So I'm guessing they are powered from there?

That's right you take the power from the main feed from
The motor solenoid to power the cab switch and the return
To the handset which .should be fused

Normally the two wires from the pump are the up and down wires, they go one to each side of a 2 way switch, then you connect a fused 12 volt supply to the middle pin of the switch.

I thought the up/down wires are into the control? The control box is already connected into the housing under the lift, Ive got a thick red (bat) Thick Black (Earth) Thin red & Black coming out the lift I was told from the guy i bought it from they were from the isolator but have had other information saying I need to tap into the red wire from the control feed it to the switch then return to the control box, Just the other 2 wires supposedly for the isolator I dont know what to do with them

surely the two isolator wires are just that, to isolate the lift so it won't work, by having a switch in the cab. Do they just not connect together through a single pole switch, eg join the two wires together - lift works, seperate the two wires - lift dosent work. As the op says they aren't for the up / down buttons as the buttons / handhled are ALREADY fitted and conneted to the pump unit.
