New clutch but lack of acceleration?

Postby Hedgie » Tue Jul 22, 2014 5:34 pm

Had a new clutch fitted today but on driving home I have noticed a lack of acceleration. The pedal goes all the way to the floor but is really slow!!

Whats happened?

Does that mean it needs adjusting or something. Struggles to get to 50mph!

If its not in gear it revs normally, its only when driving that the acceleration has gone west !

Arent there 2 plugs on the wiring around that area that may have been disconnected when gearbox was removed then mixed up when it was put back together (apparently the 2 plugs are the same so can be fitted to the wrong connections :?: ) I read this fairly recently on the forum but cant remember which transit it related to ie turbo or N/A :?:

When driving does the revs rise to full throttle but van isnt going very fast.if so as mentioned clutch is slipping and needs to go back theres no adjustment to fix it.

It can be done on both front and rear drive, but it will only crank and fire, but not run, also speedo bounces as its cranked!
