Transit Starts, won't rev then cuts out intermittently!

Hi,

I apologise in advance for my first post being a request for help but I've had this intermittent problem with my transit for some time now, I have had our family friend mechanic try a few things but the problem continues.

I start the van, it runs for 5-10 seconds then cuts out.. Wont rev at all. Then if I leave the van for a few hours and come back to it, it will start fine? It's really letting me down at the moment.
Transit SWB 57 plate 110 T280 LX
If anyone has any idea what is wrong with it I'd be very grateful for any help.

I agree, but getting the fault codes read would be the best place to start
