Lack of power

Hi there,
Can anybody give me some advice on a 2005 SWB FWD 2.0 LTR 85 T280 that I bought yesterday? The van has only 121000km on the clock and wont pull that great up hills and also wont go any faster than around 70mph. The Engine idles fine and drives quite nice except for the lack of power. I am thinking maybe the turbo but am not sure, any advice would be great.

Dosent a egr valve starting to get clogged give out them problems as well??

Thanks for the tips guys, I found a split hose from the EGR valve to the Intercooler...

Hoping I'll have good news myself next week when my new fuel pump goes on..been off the road for 3 weeks
