M6 2004 t280 problem

Hi everyone I've had a transit for a few months now when starting from cold it makes a loud tapping on acceleration not on deceleration if I warm her up for a while it's much quieter but not completely a little blue smoke when cold only can anybody help please

Is it tddi engine

First step - test injectors sprayers.

Second - in injection pump can be broken injection timing servo (or his controller on pump). Read faults.

However when engine is cold, injection dose is heightened - and engine can tapping little bit. But not when it is warm.

Could possibly be the timing chain tensioner?

Best get it checked sooner than later

Thanks fellas she just conked out a mile from my friends near Grantham driving along and she just went dead with the spring type light flashing and won't re start
