Module programing Error Code IDS v.86

Postby sand010 » Fri Oct 03, 2014 4:36 pm

Hi guys,

Wondering if anyone has had error codes when trying to do module programme in FORD IDS

"When i try to perform module programming i get error "0x0" or connection can not be established please check wires."

Error code:

9-0x0 851082
9- 0x0

I have tried IDS on another mark 6 (2003, mine is a LATE 2005) transit and get same results.
I have tried on mk7 transit and seems to work fine

I contacted the supplier and they said to try

"please start the moudle match, then do programming"
like can be seen in the picture below.

[url][URL=http://s36.photobucket.com/user/sandy_lewis2/media/IDSError_zps51b258be.jpg.html]Image[/url][/url]

What is module match?? i was abit confused by this as the icon the supplier has highlighted is the network test icon. When i try to do network test it says network test failed.

i also read somewhere on the internet that sometimes this error can ocure when following the ignition off prompt from IDS. It was suggested just to leave the ignition on for module programing and ignore such prompts by just pressing the tick icon.

Unfortuneately i am away atm so cannot try any suggestions for another week or so, but thanks in advance for any of your help and once solved i'll be sure to follow up on this thread

cheers

Firstly what do you want to do?
Secondly are you using a vcm/2 box and not 1 of these dongle things?
Thirdly i would recommend updating to ids v86.04 or higher as the v86 has bugs.

Also certain modules don't respond as they may not be fitted etc.

Hi Loot,

I want to remove speed limiter and change axle ratio.

I am using the VCM2 from same website as you got yours except mine is not wireless.

The network test fails but i realise that's because TCM is not available for my mk6, it is part of the PCM??

The PCM network test does pass so there is so sort of coms.

Any Ideas where i can get v.86.04?

Karls ya man on mk6/ids but we seem to have a lot of mk6 that don't want to communicate how we'd like.

22.59mb i think the limit is 25mb, do you want to pm me your email :-)

loot i'd love a remap mate, especially need one now with the 3.77 axle.

Do you think this would solve the IDS issues?

Seems such a waste to of bought it and it doesn't do what i want it to... makes for a good diagnostic kit i suppose.

PCM calibrations are very often tied to an axle ratio.
mk7 08reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD
mk6 X reg 2.4 T350 LWB MHR RWD - scrapped
mk4 J reg 2.5 L300 LWB MHR RWD - sold on

Notice a trend there ? not too big and not too small

Dave,

Does this mean i cannot change my axle ratio. Would the PCM need to be reflashed?

strange how another mk6 transit had the same error it seems to be software related.

Also this does not explain how i cannot remove speed limiter
