Immobiliser problem code 23 ECU id mismatch

I have a Ford Transit Connect 1.8TDI lwb 2007
Had a flat battery , tried to start via jump leads - but immobiliser light came on.
The flashing light sequence showed a code 23 - ECU ID mismatch
I am not technical - can anybody advise what could cause this and what are the best solutions - havent got to go to a Ford dealer I hope

you have probably blown a fuse due to the possible spike in voltage, run through all the fuses as I had a fiesta last week that the customer failed to tell us he had actually put the jump cables on the wrong way round and blew all 3 pcm fuses
