If it is not rumberling or lumpey have you tryed to adjust it by removing the cap and slitpin and nipping it up a bit to remove the play but do not over tighten it

yep as dumper says they can be adjusted and are designed to be - jack it up - split pin out then tighten the nut on the end of the bearing fully so the wheel wont turn then back it off till the wheel spins freely :D

yes i opened split pin and tightened it a little but still thought there was very little movement , ill try tightening it completely as you suggest and see how that works it was an advisory on my last mot but as its a camper i have only done 1500 miles since then should i go to all the trouble of changing bearing when i can feel next to no movement myself ?

thanks for the advice

you need to tighten it up to take out the slack then back it off untill the wheel spins :D you shouldnt have to change the bearing unless its worn so bad there is a ridge in the outer race or if its completly shot :D
