Minibus Sunroof/Hatch

Postby Damnthevan » Sun Oct 19, 2014 9:43 pm

I have a 2005 Minibus which I am about to convert to a campervan.
Toward the rear near the back doors is a steel pressing in the roof the shape of a sunroof.
Contacting my local Ford Commercial is useless as their part number shows nothing more than a piece of glass but they can't tell me if £120 buys an opening mechanism with it?
Does anyone have one fitted?

I thought that was for a chiller box thing
Couldn't you get a mk5 side window with rubber seal or perspex or something? I'm sure nobody will break in.
Here's the front sunroof i think.

Late minibus's have these fitted but its just a flat fixed bonded window, doesn't open......
Its an emergency escape route to be smashed should bus end up on its side.

I can't remember ever seeing an opening skylight.
