What is this part and what does it? Transit MK5

Postby Juspe_ » Thu Oct 23, 2014 9:22 am

Hey,

we are currently setting up a fixed diesel pump (diesel leak) and we are just wondering what might this part be and what it does? Also changing timing belt, water pump and tensioner.

(Found this picture somewhere here and edited that red circle)

It looks like other water pump, but it isn't? Just curious!
Thank you :)

Could be Pully for fan
"due to ever increasing work load the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off!"

The water pump is inside the timing belt -cover. The one to the top-right from that circle.

Thanks all, it seems to be a cover for oil pump and the pulley is just for fan and doesn't turn anything inside the cover. We were just wondering that if it does something inside that cover, but no.
