Sounds very like a problem with the ignition. The torpedo is an aftermarket immobiliser fob.

Assuming you can unlock the steering get it towed to an independent garage NOT main dealer and get them to have the aftermarket immobiliser killed and go from there.

Best of luck

Van is in Telford in Shropshire.
I am currently in university in Wolverhampton.

And to answer the previous question,
I turn the key in the ignition, I get nothing. No lights, no relay click, nothing.

Was it the same before the battery went flat i.e. no dash lights etc?

Did the imobiliser being on or off affect the dash lights etc before?

Just to close this thread off.

The van has now gone to donate its parts to a bunch of other transits.

Except for its electrics which didn't work.
