out standing field service actions how long do they last

Ive just checked my o5 transit on the etis and there's a out standing field service on it. Rear axle end play how long after manufacture do these field service actions last i pressume its like a recall

Having This trouble with my local for dealer mines also due the same recall there still trying to work out weather I'm allowed to have it done the latest is they need to speak to the workshop manager and see what he says what they don't know Is I know him and I might just have a word with him

cheers for that problem is with mine its off road i'm turning it into a camper so was hoping to take it when i get it done

All you can do is phone a dealer and ask, there will be a cut off date, but it may vary depending on the problem

I've found amongst my paper work for the van the recall notice sent to me on 4/11/2011 didn't realise it had been off the road that long there's even a certificate for the dealer to stamp. It does state that its urgent says the axle shaft can walk out if a clip detaches so it is a safety issue they might still check it as you say give them a ring there is a number to call will let you know the outcome.

recalls normally last for 10 yrs after the issue date and as this was 2008 and its still showing on oasis then it should still be done, and yes the axle shafts can become detached from the diff and walk out the axle
