Doesn't show the bosch number for pump, but you can contact Merlin and use their reference number to get exact number they used.

Hi there,
There is no Bosch part number for the marine Di pump, this is because Bosch did not develop it.

I have seen a number of different pumps used on marinised Di's, including Bosch part number 0460 414 154.

The 154 pump was originally developed by Bosch for use on the 80ps turbo Di engine, the ford part number for this pump starts with 97VB, suggesting the pump was first used on a Transit from 1997. These were only sold outside the EU.

I do doubt that a pump developed by Bosch for an 80ps commercial vehicle would have been used on a 130+ marine engine without some sort of 'alteration' from standard, the marine engine suppliers might be prepared to share information with you.

By far the best solution would be to do as Bosch would have done and develop a pump to suit your application as we are in the process of doing. See links to our work;

Didnt know that :roll: , i thought the turbo dI with the Bosch pump was around 1988 & was fitted with the early pump with waxstat cable ? & all the later ones regardless of where they were sold were fitted with the epic pump, out of interest which countries had this model ?

Hi V184, the early pump as you say, does feature an external timing adjustment device, this is part number 0 460 414 132. This unit, according to Bosch Esi, was discontinued 07/1997 and after that date should be replaced with 0 460 414 154.

There are no specific vehicle applications listed in Esi for either of these pumps :( but when I checked the manufacturer's part number listed in Esi with Ford, they confirmed it was for a Transit sold outside the EU. The fact that the throttle levers supplied with the 154 pump are the same part number as those used on other Bosch pumps intended for use on the Transit, would appear to support this.

Unlikely, it has a very low lift camplate, which doesn't pump much fuel per stroke. Me and Tim are working on a big turbo pump ATM, which uses the Transit pump body, high lift camplate, modified fuel levers and LDA manifold pressure compensation, which should supply more than adequate fueling, within the available timing window, when combined with the 130 yellow spot injectors. :D
