Oil disappears through air intake

Postby jakobdid » Sun Nov 23, 2014 9:08 pm

Hi

I have a problem whit my Transit MK7 2,2 Tdci 130.

Oil disappears through rubber pipe from cam cover into to air intake just before the turbo. There is allso pressure/oil smoke out of oil filler pipe when i remove the cap.

Can it be because the PCV valve is closed by dirt or something like that? Or is there another "breather" from crankcase anywhere there can be closed by dirt?

Every suggestions to my problem is happily received.

Thanks in advance.

Regards Jakob from Denmark. :)

I'd be looking at checking injector seals (firewashers) on ends of injectors,
If they are worn,or injectors are loose compression leaks into crankcase causing the issue you have...

(could be more serious piston blow-by / crankcase compression but hopefully not)

Remember to keep injectors in order and put them back into same cylinders,
And the long bolt holding retaining clamp down is a 'stretch' bolt and must be replaced..
