Help, mk6 2.4 90psi snails pace no boost

Postby matt171289 » Tue Feb 24, 2015 5:35 pm

Hello people, i have a mk6 2.4tddi 90psi 2001 350 transit, the transit has had new turbo, new fuel pump, fuel lines checked, wastegate checked, crank sensor replaced, timing chain replaced and timing checked, and its still no boost, there is pressure from the turbo all the way up to the egr, (egr has been blanked off) the manifold has been checked for cracks, so where the boost is going i do not know, the van is also cutting out avery 3days after its been dio read, each time its coming up with Pump fult, as soon as the van stops, it will start on the button, and tick over and rev brilliantly, till i engadge the clutch and set off, then it will cut out, im out of ideas on this problem as like i say the fuel pump and lines and filter and housing have been replaced, turbo has been replaced, aswell as the boost pipes, eger has been replaced and blanked, timing chain has been replaced timing was also checked, crank shaft sensor replaced, intercooler pressure sensor has been replaced, all with brand new ford genuine parts, HELP!!!! lol

its a brand spanking new on form ford, after iv stuck my dio tool on it nd cleard the code it stops cutting out for about three days unless i push it around a corner 2 fast, then it flags up again, so im looking at the wiring loom next, if not i think a manual pump, its just that boost and im not convinced the boost and the cutting out are connected

hey, ford done the pump, and turbo, and intercooler, when pump was done they also put a new chain on, and said the timing was off by 3 teeth, but its still no better, ford are stumped and before the work was carried out they said that they take no responsibility if it dont fix it, as they tried diffrent bits and nothing was making it any better, they also checked for a limiter on the ecu, but non found, we are all stumped, but iv spent to much doe on this van to concider getting rid

Have a chat with dieselhead123 or andypdq about a mechanical pump...

If your basic engine is sound, a mechanical pump is a guaranteed, simple cure, lots more power than a standard 90, same fuel economy, no more limp mode, code reading or never ending electronic faults, which the "experts" at Ford don't seem to be able to fix.

PM me if you're interested. :D

Still no further forward to finding the issue, i have asked around, some people are say "stuck in limp home mode" some people are saying this " if this a pre common rail pump it sounds like pump timing is out which is why it's giving fault code for crank sensor and fuel pump" the seccond one makes more sense, but i dont know if i have a pre common rail pump,

also the batter is brand new, and always fully charged, i went in to hospital, for a week, and its as dead as a door post, soim now thinking what ever is draining the battery is also the fault why ist on the go slow, the battery in my eyes should last three weeks, as its a good brand and all the "silver calcium" crap
