So it might be ok having yours different than others. Not 100% sure that this is the case at yours, but it is common practise to do the pcb:s and designs so.
I got my own vcm2 working better with changing that cap I informed earlier but if your's is working without issues, I would continue using it.
Mine still has ocasional other issues that I'm not comfortable but it will do its work for now.
Is your VCM 2 still going strong since changing the capacitor last year?
Think I need to do the same as I'm having the exact same issue you were now
especially in cold weather, happens much less often once the VCM is warm.
Did anyone ever figure out what voltage for the 10uf 0805 capacitor? Seen some 16v ones online.
Yes, mine is still working fine. And good to hear that yours is also. I originally got 4 caps from the seller as I complained and fitted one on mine and it has worked well since. Sent one cap to loot and I "think" I should have the 2 spare ones somewhere on my lockers but as I have moved my garage parts to different place not sure exactly where the spare ones are. Anyway I could spare only 1 to send if I "would" find them as I want to keep one for spare if I ever need.
But as what DiscoDan mentioned (10uf 0805 16v), I would defenently go with those for everyone having same issues. Find somewhere and replace.
Sorry for not being around so much here lately, have had so much to do.
btw. someone mentioned with cold hot weather affecting on the issue. It most probably was very true on mine as I was doing things then in Finnish winter so probably temperatures varied from -15 celsius to +25 celsius.
