Hi have a 2006 2.4 transit when trying to start in morning just cranks feels like not getting fuel as soon as I pump pedal or turn off and try to start again starts first time only started few days ago thanks

possible timing chain, have the codes read if you have DTCs P1664 / P1563 then the most likely culprit is the chain

I have a similar problem on my 2001 2.0 lt DI, difficult to start when cold then starts after a good bit of cranking, checked dtc codes and there was a P0149 fuel timing error. would the tensioner cause this and how difficult is it to replace.

Might be worth changing diesel filter.

Any starting problems I've had were down to dodgy non original filters.
