Cruise control

Can anyone shed some light on the reason my cruise control only stays on for about 50 yards ,
I press on then set speed but it switches off by itself,

Do you drive with your foot on the clutch pedal?

no take feet off all pedals,
its retro fit cruise ,but has been working fine for several months now ,
no loose wires all connections good

Check the sensitivity of your clutch and brake pedal switches

Have taken apart all switches on pedals and cleaned ,adjusted pedals so there is no play on switches , damn its still the same
doesnt cut out when accelerating only when you de-accelerate weird and annoying

When you say retrofit do you mean Ford oe fit or aftermarket cruise system?

Im talking " How to add factory cruise by loot", re- checked all wires and connectons bcm and switches on wheel all seem ok,
does not switch off if i keep foot very lightly on throttle so its just accelerating ,maybe throttle pedal on way out??

Can you get it on ids for a pedal test?
