Didnt know that could be done... Is it easy to do ?

I can buy a used ignition with 2 keys and the transponder ring that goes around the ignition.

Is it the key chip that is matched with the transponder ring?

if thats the case then it should be "plug n play"

or do i still have to put my original "chip" in the new key.

Put your old barrel in and have it on zero, remove the switch and look to see what position the barrel bit is, then turn it to the next positions and to where start is and note the positions, then repeat that with the new barrel and if it is the same and you can guarantee that it is turning the switch then how can there be a problem? :idea:

The transponder ring is just a radio so you'll still need to program the new keys to the van

ok thanks... Just bought them.
i will leave my original transponder ring in then and swap the chips from my old keys to the replacement ones.
