Oil leak ignore?

Postby Myklb » Mon Jul 20, 2015 2:34 pm

Hi, I've got a 2003 MK6 2.0 diesel t280.

It's leaking oil relatively badly mainly when idling and its shaking or something. Just wondering if it's stupid to ignore it for a little while till I save up as long as I keep the oil topped up? I've just spent £600 on a new clutch and DMF so scared to delve into why it's leaking until I've saved some cash up again.

Also what oil does it take?

Thanks

Thanks folks.

Just spoke with the lad that did the DMF and he said he didn't spot anything at the time but having a look on Wednesday on my day off (hopefully for nowt)

In the mean time I'll chuck some 5w30 in and keep it topped up.

Thanks for the help!

Never a good idea to ignore an oil leak.

It won't fix it self.
