My cambelt broke have I buggered the engine!
How do I get the viscofan of?

You won't have buggered the engine. You will have bent the push rods and have probably broken some rockers but thats about it

(When my tensioner failed, I was up and running after 2 hours work at the roadside - much to the annoyance of the locals!

Viscous fan is a 32mm nut and has a conventional thread (unlike 99% of other viscous fans). Leave the auxillary belt on, and get some tension on it and either smack the spanner with a hammer, or use a hammer and chisel!
