track rod-steering rack end -mk7

i can detect "slight"play in the above item (ns-passenger side). not sure how much is ok for mot purpose`s(due soon).

so i will get it done.

how much are "genuine ones from the dealers?

are any special tools required to release the track rod from the "steering rack "?

Mole grips and a spanner and a lesbian
Should shift it
Might need a couple of fags too

I got a cheeeeep one for the mk6 lasted 12 months
Then got another cheeeeep one and that was ok

just checked again and the "slight knock" i thought was there was actually because the "steering lock" was on
turned the key and released the st/wheel lock and it is ok after all
