Transit connect gearbox

Postby Andy bowhill » Wed Oct 07, 2015 7:01 am

Hi, I have a 2007 connect that needs a new gearbox, my gearbox part number is 2T1R 2007 BH, the replacement I am looking at is from a 2012 model part number 7T1R 2007 CD. Both are 5 speed 1.8tdi manual. Does anyone know if it will be a direct replacement and what do the letters stand for if anything, thanks Andy

Welcome to the forum :D

Gearbox 7T1R-7002-CD will fit no problem straight swap. Fit a new 3 piece clutch kit at the same

Hi, thanks for getting back, is the 3 piece clutch something that should be done anyway or improved performance, I know nothing about engines. Appreciate your help, regards andy

It advisable to fit a new 3 piece clutch kit, saves having to remove gearbox again a few months later just to change clutch

Hi, sorry for bumping an old thread, but I am kind of having similar issue now. My gearbox that just gave up is 7T1R 2007 CD. The spare ones I've just found, are 7T1R 2007 CC and 7T1R 2007 CB. Does anyone know what is that last letter of the code? Based on previous posts in this thread, it seems to be transferable thing, but I want to be 100% sure of what I am buying and if it all fits the way it should...
Anyone :) ?

Thank you and best regards
